This week I bought this version of Händel’s Rinaldo on Qobuz. It cost a whopping €36,29. I like this opera and I listen to it regularly.

Now it has happened several times to me that albums I stream disappear, so I got a little anxious and pulled the trigger.

There is a problem with this album though. One of my favourite pieces, Lascia ch’io pianga, sung by Cecilia Bartoli, is sibilant as hell. Still, I have the album in my possession now and nobody can touch it. Ha!

Generally I will get into a process now. I will look up all the available versions, listen to them and decide which version I like best. I am sure I will write about that later.
